A4CENEM

A4CENEM is the implementation of the A4EU platform for Spain. This tool has been adapted to the specific needs and requirements of the Directorate General of the Spanish Civil Protection (DGPCE).

A4CENEM provides the capacity of early-warning detection and proactive decision-making when facing extreme weather-related emergencies. This allows the National Control Centre for Emergency Management (CENEM) to better manage such events, minimizing losses and saving lives.

A4CENEM allows the National Emergency Centre to have access to complementary information in a centralized way, when managing serious risks, providing added value compared to the use of isolated and dispersed data. The possibility of integrating products from different sources, topics and geographical areas (local, regional, national and European) into a single viewfinder.

Some of it is major operational capabilities are:

  • Connection to different sources of hazard information in real time.

  • Capacity to cross the hazard impact forecasting products served by the ANYWHERE Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MH-EWS) with high resolution impact models.

  • Combination with risk and vulnerability information at national level: flooding areas, Seveso industries and nuclear power plants.
