The ANYWHERE project incorporates cutting-edge meteorological forecasting products developed over the past decade. The necessary knowledge to sketch up meteorological forecasts is gathered from observations and available weather data.

The ANYWHERE project incorporates cutting-edge meteorological forecasting products developed over the past decade. The necessary knowledge to sketch up meteorological forecasts is gathered from observations and available weather data.

Before to make any forecast about the weather it is needed to make accurate measurements of meteorological quantities such as temperature, humidity, wind or precipitation. By combining them with a set of 300 algorithms and modelling products is possible to get specific hazard forecasts.

How are meteorological forecasts made:

  • Collecting as much data as possible about the current state of the weather.

  • Calculating with computer models how the weather is most likely to evolve in the future.

  • Using meteorological expertise to refine and improve the forecasts.
